Products Overview

Microprocess technology with TOK's core technology, photolithography The challenge is always beyond the cutting edge.

Photolithography is technology which is similar to the principle of the photograph.
To draw an image on photoresist (photosensitive resin), a mask pattern (design drawing or pattern) is transferred. By making use of the image (pattern) of the photoresist, microprocessing is then carried out.

Photolithography is used in a broad range of fields such as IC (integrated circuits) and LSI (large-scale integrated circuits), which are known as semiconductors, liquid crystal displays (LCDs), semiconductor packaging.

In 1962, TOK brought our first photoresist to the market, and since that time TOK has continued to open new frontiers in microprocess technology, and established itself firmly as a world leading supplier. Micropocess technology making use of photolithography has played an essential role in the development of a great variety of electronic equipment that is now taken for granted in every day life.

Microprocess technology making use of photolithography is effectively utilized for manufacturing many different kinds of electronic items we use in our daily lives, for example, personal computers, cellular phones or flat-screen televison sets. It is through the development of such essential equipment that we are able to make an active contribution to the betterment of society.
TOK continues to maintain its position at the challenging edge of microprocess technology and through incorporating technological breakthroughs into everyday manufacturing, we are proud to take our place in contributing to the creation of a prosperous and harmonious future.
