Notice regarding Construction of New Inspection Building at TOK Advanced Materials Co., Ltd.

Company

TOKYO OHKA KOGYO CO., LTD. (Headquarters: Kawasaki, Japan/President: Noriaki Taneichi, hereinafter the “Company”) decided to build a new inspection building in the Incheon Plant of its consolidated subsidiary, TOK Advanced Materials Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Incheon, South Korea, hereinafter “TOKAM”). The construction is scheduled to begin in November 2023, with operations scheduled to commence in the first half of 2026.

Under the strategy of building close relationships with customers, the Company established TOKAM in 2012 as a base for R&D, manufacturing, and sales of photoresists in South Korea, and TOKAM has contributed to increasing the adoption of TOK Group’s products in South Korea. Net sales in South Korea now account for 12.5% of the Company’s consolidated net sales (FY2022 results).

In response to growing demand in the Korean semiconductor market, the Company decided to construct a new inspection building at TOKAM with the aim of further improving product quality and expanding supply capacity.

We plan to introduce new inspection equipment in the new inspection building, with the expectation of improving product quality and inspection efficiency. In addition, the new building will be equipped with scalability to accommodate future increases in demand and designed to be safe and comfortable for workers.

In order to realize the vision set forth in TOK Vision 2030, the long-term vision announced in August 2020, TOK Group plans to make the largest-ever capital investments of more than 60 billion yen over the three-year period covered by TOK Medium-Term Plan 2024 released in February 2022. We will continue to make aggressive capital investments and strengthen our global supply chain to respond to the medium- to long-term growth of the semiconductor market.
